Our main characters are two balls with incredibly adorable, expressive faces (usually blue and pink) separated on the screen. They cannot move on their own. Your task is to act as a skilled matchmaker, using a magic pen to draw lines or shapes, creating force and bridges to bring the two balls closer together and make them touch.

Basic gameplay instructions for beginners

All actions in Love Balls revolve around your drawings. Whether playing on a computer or phone, the rules remain the same:

• Observe the level: Before drawing, take a look at the overall terrain. Where are the two balls? Are there any chasms or obstacles in their way?
• Draw: Use your mouse or finger to draw lines. Lifting your finger instantly transforms the line into a solid object, subjecting it to the effects of gravity (falling down).
• Completion goal: By using the line as a sliding surface, a bridge across the chasm, or a falling weight to push the ball, you only need to make the two balls meet to win.
• Rating system: At the top of the screen, there will be an ink level indicator. To achieve a perfect 3 stars, you must solve the level with the fewest lines and ink possible.

Puzzle-solving tips

In the early levels, you can easily pass with just a horizontal line. But as you progress, the game adds no-draw zones, nets, and even deep pits. Here are some tips to help you get 3 stars at every level:

• Maximize gravity: A curved line drawn around the ball is useless if it doesn't move. Draw a thick circle or triangle that falls straight down from above to create a strong thrust, sending the ball flying to the other side.
• The "Anchor" and "Hinge" Principle: When you need a bridge across a chasm, drawing a straight line will cause it to fall straight down. Instead, draw a straight line but bend it at both ends to hook onto the sides of the chasm to create a sturdy bridge.
• Keep it simple: Many players tend to draw complex shapes, leading to wasted ink and lost stars. Before drawing a complex system, ask yourself: "Is a small circle or a short diagonal line enough to solve the problem?" The simpler, the more physically efficient it is sometimes.
• Protect first, move later: In levels with sharp objects or dangerous areas that could hit the ball, draw a "canopy" to shield the ball first, then consider the path.
